Boat ferry: Afternoon sailing on the Little Belt

*Go on an exciting tour of the Little Belt with the Bågöferry. * Experience a vivid narrative of history, told by Museum Vestfyn over the ferry's loudspeaker. It tells of the ferry's function as a main thoroughfare across the Little Belt - and thus a bridge builder, between the capital and the duchies until 1864. The loss of Southern Jutland then turned the Little Belt into a barrier rather than a bridge. The ferry crossing was established again after reunification in 1920, when South Jutland became Danish again and thus the catchment area for Assens. The crossing was in use until 1972. Also get answers as to why the ferry crossing stopped in 1972. There is also an exhibition on the ferry that can be explored. You may not buy food and drink on board - but in return, you are allowed to bring some catering for the trip. ** Maybe you guys are lucky to see guinea pigs and/or seals? Bågø can be windswept and sometimes has a harsh climate in winter, but an idyllic island when spring announces its arrival. There is plenty of nature that can give peace and harmony to the nature lover who can easily get several days to walk on Bågø. In cooperation with the local council of Assens, the Port of Assens and Museum Vestfyn.

Learn to fish

*Learn to fish—a fun and free experience! * Do you dream of a day of fresh air, coziness and new skills by the water? *What can you experience? * Under the guidance of experienced fishing guide Danny Vitting, you will learn how to throw with fishing rod, tie fishing knots and choose the right tackle and bait. We train on the beach (without hooks) and later go into the water to try to catch fish right. All equipment can be borrowed We provide fishing kits, winks, baits and waders free of charge. All you need to bring is good mood and the desire for a fun day in scenic surroundings. Important information Minimum age: 10 years Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult (adults do not need to register unless they also want to fish). *NB: This only applies to the events in June and July — not for the two events in Assens. * Adults over the age of 18 who wish to fish themselves must have a state fishing license.
